The Economic Coordination Committee has approved the purchase of wheat at Rs 4000 per maund. According to Dunya News, a meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee was held under the chairmanship of Finance Minister Ishaq Dar. In the meeting, ECC has approved the purchase of wheat at Rs 4000 per maund to Sindh, similarly, 40 kg of wheat will be purchased at Rs 3900 per maund in Punjab, and 40 kg of wheat will be purchased at Rs 3900 per maund in Balochistan.

ECC has allowed Sindh to buy Rs 14 lakh metric ton, Punjab to buy 35 lakh metric ton, Balochistan to buy 1 lakh metric ton of wheat. It should be noted here that last year the support price of wheat was 2200 rupees, so this year the support price of wheat has been increased by 88%.

In the meeting, the ECC also allowed Drape to revise the prices of medicines, with the permission to increase the price being linked to the depreciation of the rupee against the dollar, under which the prices will be revised after three months. will be reviewed.
